Physiology - Overview

Students pursuing graduate degrees in physiology are exposed to a comprehensive, interdisciplinary degree program including course work, seminars and research experiences. Research areas span many areas including biochemistry, statistics, biology, anatomy and physiology, and supporting areas.

Graduate training in physiology prepares students for careers in research, teaching, technical services, consulting, adult education and extension work in animal reproduction and animal health-related fields. Graduate studies are available in:

  • reproductive endocrinology and molecular biology
  • stem-cell physiology and molecular biology
  • gamete physiology
  • endocrinology and immunobiology of enteric disease
