Black Hickory Mate is a son of Smart Mate, earner of $51,350 and the 2004 Equi-Stat #7 leading cutting sire.  Smart Mate's offspring have earned over $2,400,000 to date, ranking him as one of the All-Time leading cutting horse sires.  Smart Mate's sire, Smart Little Lena earned over $740,000 on his way to winning the NCHA Triple Crown and currently ranks as the #1 All-Time leading cutting horse sire.  Black Hickory Mate is out of Molly O Hickory, a daughter of Doc's Hickory.  Doc's Hickory was both an AQHA point earner and NCHA money earner, and is recognized as one of Doc Bar's outstanding sons.     

Black Hickory Mate was in cutting training and showing tremendous potential, but an injury sidelined his training.  He is currently being used regularly in ranch work.
