Ag Fest Week

Ag Fest is a week long event typically held in April. There are different activities held each day.

Monday: Speaker. In 2010, United States Senator Jerry Moran spoke to the College of Agriculture.
Tuesday: Cowboy Olympics. This event held in Weber Arena, is for teams of four to compete in exaggerated farm tasks. Sponsored by the KSU Rodeo Team.
Wednesday: Kiddie Barnyard. Area schools and daycares visit stations set up to display various areas of agriculture, where CCW talks about different products that come from cattle and beef cuts.
Thursday: BBQ & Concert. The Alpha Gamma Rho and Farmhouse Fraternities sponsor a free BBQ on Weber Lawn open to all people across campus. Later that night, a concert benefitting the Kansas MS Society is held at Longhorns Saloon in Aggieville. The act changes from year to year.
Friday: Dodgeball Tournament. Sigma Alpha hosts a Dodgeball Tournament at the K-State Rec. All proceeds go to the MS Society as well. Clubs are encouraged to participate.
Saturday: Open House. Yearly over 20,000 come to the K-State campus for academic exhibits, entertainment, food and fun. At this event, CCW hosts a sort of petting zoo for visitors to learn more about animal agriculture.
