The CattleWomen work with the Kansas Beef Council and other organizations with the promotion of beef products throughout the state.  This year, their primary focus has been on educating the public about a new cut of beef, the flat iron steak.  The majority of their promotions have been at Dillons stores in Manhattan and Lawrence, beef extension events such as several Taste of Home Cooking Shows. This past year, members traveled to Goddard High School to give presentations to several different classes to inform them on various cuts of beef, the nutrition they get from beef and why we choose to promote such a great product!
