Speer’s beef industry involvement is comprehensive and has allowed him to work on a variety of national projects. He writes the "Monthly Market Profile" now in its ninth year of publication; the column covers current market events within the beef sector while also providing insight into various trends within the industry. Simultaneously, he serves as a contributing editor for CALF News in which his column “Beef Biz” appears. And beginning in 2009 he initiated a new column entitled “AgSight”, designed to provide coverage of important and timely issues that impact agriculture.

Meeting the Needs of Beef Consumers -  Rosemary Mucklow, National Meat Association
Director Emeritus of National Meat Association, a national industry association representing meat packers, processors, wholesalers, sausage makers and related firms in the U.S. meat industry. Rosemary has been associated with the meat industry for nearly 50 years, and has a reputation for “telling it like it is”. She is considered a formidable adversary in defending the industry when it is right, and equally straight-forward in making corrections when it is not. Rosemary received the E.
