Beef Teaching Program

The Beef teaching program offers undergraduate and graduate students an array of opportunities. Courses offered of relevance to beef production include our fundamental genetics, nutrition, meats, and physiology courses. At the senior level, students interested in beef have the option of taking a beef science course. In addition, numerous electives of interest to beef students (such as bovine AI, calving management, ruminant nutrition, bovine reproductive technologies, etc.) are available as options. Beef research facilities are located in close proximity to campus which facilitates student exposure. In addition to formal courses, there are a number of informal activities (see clubs list) that enable beef students to interact with others of similar interest.
